About Us
Broken District all began when five college kids with diverse tastes in music decided to mix their styles all together. The band strives to constantly break the boundaries of genre in a way that is incomparable to any other band. Broken District's use of blast beats and downtuned 8-string guitars brought them straight to the the front of the Djent scene in Sheffield but their increasing diversity has put them on top of the whole local music scene.
The band was primarily founded by Lewis Foxhall and Callum Hodson in 2012 with vocalist/ guitarist Lewis Peters , keyboardist Joshua Hibbard and drummer Jake Fields joining soon after. Hibbard left the band in 2013 and later in the year regained their fifth member in the form of third guitarist Luke Turner.
